I want to start opera and type right away

When you star opera with the speed-dial and without any extension enabled, the cursor is blinking in the address-bar. After installing Opera AdBlock the cursor blinks once oder twice and then disappeares, This forces the user to grab the mouse and click into the address-bar. AdSweep for example does not do this so for now I have to stick to that extension, but I will check regularly how this add-on here improves over time.

I am unable to reproduce this problem. Can someone confirm this?
You can try the latest beta as it might have solved this problem: goo.gl/yCHui

Hi, thanks for your comment. Just did a clean installation in a Windows XP virtual machine few minutes ago and was able to reproduce it there as well. I'm using Windows 7 x64 on this machine btw.

My setting is "start with speed-dial", did you set this too? Do you have websites inserted into your speed-dial? Perhaps turn on "reload every...". I don't know what else it could be. I have no widgets, extensions or skins installed. Neither do I use opera as a mail-programm nor as a RSS-reader.

Only Opera can solve this kind of issues, hopefully they will fix it for you and sorry for the inconvenience.
